The trio spent more than five months living and working aboard the International Space Station. Later this month, #TeacherOnBoard Ricky Arnold, a former classroom teacher like Joe, will travel to the space station where he and his crewmates will continue their work to reach teachers and students throughout the world during NASA’s A Year of Education on Station. Applicants must be U.S. citizens working full time at a two-year or four-year accredited university or college in Mississippi or Louisiana. The program provides a weekly stipend. Qualified faculty from minority-serving institutions are particularly encouraged to apply. The SEES project allows students to work remotely prior to their onsite internship in Austin, Texas, July 14-28, 2018. Spinoffs are technologies originally created for space and modified into everyday products used on Earth. Applicants must be majoring in a STEM field. The consortium strongly supports students who are preparing to transfer to institutions of higher learning while developing the essential skills for a competitive global workforce. The STEM Bridge Scholarships are $1,000.
